WE HAVE TWO VACANCIES FOR
PARISH COUNCILLORS
Did you know that Runton Parish Council is responsible for
Allotments – Street Lights – Village Sign – Children’s Playground – Bus Shelters – Village Notice Boards – Dog Bins – Cutting of the Commons – Parish Shed
In addition the Parish Council is a consultee on all planning matters on behalf of the villages. It works closely with North Norfolk District Council on costal issues and Norfolk County Council on highways matters.
WANT TO BE A PARISH COUNCILLOR?
If you are passionate about your local community, we need you. Councillors make a huge difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issues are dealt with. We need people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect the communities they serve to put themselves forward.
You should have an active interest in local issues and things that affect local people and a willingness to represent public views of the community.
You should be able to commit the time and effort to the role and to attend monthly council meetings.
We have two vacancies for Councillors, one for East and one for West Runton.

In your letter you may wish to include your connection to the parish, why you want to be a parish councillor and what skills/experience you can bring to the council.
Applications will be looked at by Councillors and voted on at a meeting of the Parish Council 28 July 2026, 7pm, Church Hall West Runton.
